A relatively new industry for this area, locally grown wines can now be sampled and purchased. A wide variety of climates - from the coast to the ranges offers new challenges to local growers. Perhaps enjoy a picnic amongst the vines, a special vineyard event or just a taste! Fruit wines, made without using grapes - have also been made locally for almost 20 years!
This list below offers the chance to tour and taste at local wineries in the Bundaberg, Coral Coast & Country Region!
1. Hill of Promise Estate - produces wine in the old world way using wild yeast from the vineyard.
2. Brischetto Wines - producing Shiraz, Caberbet Sauvignon and Chardonnay within the sound of the sea.
3. Wines at Schmeider's - offering cellar door sales of Barambah Ridge wines from whites to reds, muscat to port.
4. Woonbah Estate Winery - produces a variety of red and white wines and liqueurs.
5. Waratah Estate Vineyard - produces red and white varieties, with a medal winning 1999 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon.
